Picking one resort out of 108 is hard when every brochure promises sunshine and perfect snow. So give us five answers instead: your level, who is coming, the budget, how you like your evenings and which nationalities you would happily share a chairlift with. If one answer matters more than the others, tick the box under it. You can also skip questions, or simply browse the full resort list or our guide to the Alpine countries.

How the resort finder works
How are the three resorts chosen?
Each answer is turned into a score for every resort. A beginner gets points for resorts with a high share of blue runs, a confident skier for reds, and so on. Ticking “this really matters” gives that answer twice the weight. The resorts with the best overall score come out on top.
Where do the figures on guests come from?
From official statistics. Swiss resorts use the Federal Statistical Office, Austrian ones the Tyrol, Salzburg or Vorarlberg state figures or Statistik Austria, and Italian ones the regional offices. France publishes no figures per resort, so French resorts share one national split of skier days. A few resorts, mostly in Italy, have no data and score neutrally.
Can I leave some questions out?
Yes. Unanswered questions simply do not count, and the heading above your results says how many of the five answers it is based on. You need to answer at least one question to get a result.
Should I book straight from the result?
Treat it as a short list. Each card links to the resort page, where you can compare the airport and transfer time, the lift pass and the school holiday weeks before you choose.
