Austria is one of the two most popular destinations for British skiers. From family-friendly Flachau and Wagrain to advanced St. Anton and Ischgl, there is something for every level. When should you go?

The ski season in the Alps normally runs from December to April. January and February offer the best snow conditions and are high season. March brings longer days, spring snow and lower prices. High-altitude resorts such as Val Thorens, Obergurgl and Obertauern stay open until late April.
