The 224 km of pistes in Flims Laax Falera stretch from the glaciated Vorab summit at 3,018 metres right down to the valley floor. Crap Sogn Gion is the hub where most lifts meet, and this is also where the famous halfpipe and snowparks are located. From here, the pistes spread out in every direction. The wide blue runs towards Falera are excellent for families, while the red and black descents from Cassons and Vorab challenge experienced skiers. The longest run is a full 14 km from Vorab to Flims.

Best time to travel to LAAX
For guaranteed snow, January and February are best, with snow guaranteed on the Vorab glacier. The LAAX Open is usually held in January, adding extra atmosphere for freestyle enthusiasts. March and April offer sunny skiing and longer days. Families are wise to travel in January outside the UK half-term holidays for lower prices and shorter queues.
How to get to LAAX
You arrange your own travel, and many drive their own car. Taking the Eurotunnel from Folkestone and arriving at Calais, it's roughly 987 km to LAAX, around 10,2 hours of pure driving time through France. Remember that studded tyres are banned in France and Germany.
