How to ski in Fügen
From the village at 545 metres, a lift takes you straight up to the Spieljoch sector, where most of the beginner and family pistes are gathered higher up the mountain. With 44 km of blue pistes out of a total of 110 km, this is where you will find broad, open terrain without having to cross anything trickier on the way there, which makes mornings straightforward even with children in tow.
The 50 km of red pistes spread across most of the ski area, while the 16 km of black terrain are more scattered across steeper flanks, often close to the higher reaches up towards 2 378 metres. These call for a more solid technique, particularly where the terrain drops away more sharply towards the valley.
