Families with children fare best in February during the half-term holiday weeks, when Val di Fassa lays on extra activities for kids and the ski schools run a full programme.
Will there be lift queues in Canazei?
The Belvedere and Col Rodella and Ciampac and Buffaure sector at Canazei carries 61,751 people an hour across 35 lifts. 18 of the 35 lifts belong to the faster class. The fastest lifts carry up to 3,400 people an hour, for example Lezuo-Belvedere. That is roughly the same capacity per kilometre of piste as an average resort on this site, so queues only build when it is really busy. The queue you actually notice is almost always down in the valley between eight and half past nine. If you are on the lift before eight you avoid it.

How to get to Canazei

By air. The nearest airport is Innsbruck (INN). Pure flying time from London is around 2 hours, and from there it is 2 hours on to Canazei. You can cover the last stretch in one of two ways:
