Snow reliability in Ischgl

Ischgl's high altitude, between 1,377 and 2,872 metres, makes it one of the most snow-sure destinations in the Alps. The long season normally runs from late November to early May, and the north-facing slopes above the treeline hold onto the snow well. Snow cannons also cover the central runs to ensure good conditions throughout the season. High season in Ischgl during January and February brings virtually guaranteed powder snow in the upper areas, while spring skiing in March and April offers fine conditions above 2,000 metres.
