The best time for skiing in Ortisei is from January to March. January offers the best snow conditions and the quietest pistes. February is livelier, with half-term holidays and more activities in the village. March brings sunny skiing and longer days, perfect for exploring both the pistes and the village.
How to get to Ortisei
You arrange your own travel, and many drive their own car. Taking the Eurotunnel from Folkestone and arriving at Calais, it's roughly 1 175 km to Ortisei, around 12,6 hours of pure driving time through France. Remember that studded tyres are banned in France and Germany.
