Best time to travel to Tignes
Tignes enjoys one of the longest seasons in the Alps, running from October to May thanks to the glacier. January and February bring the best snow conditions across the whole area. March and April offer fantastic spring skiing with sunshine and stable snow cover at altitude.
How to get to Tignes
You arrange your own travel, and many drive their own car. Taking the Eurotunnel from Folkestone and arriving at Calais, it's roughly 1 001 km to Tignes, around 10,5 hours of pure driving time through France. Remember that studded tyres are banned in France and Germany.
